Sports Medicine Doctor - Dr Ralph Rogers

London Based Sports Medicine Dr. Ralph Rogers, MD PhD MBA FACN FECSS FACSM FFSEM (IRE, UK) began his professional education in the United States. On a Sports Scholarship for Lacrosse, Ralph obtained a degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware. He then travelled to Europe, spending a brief time in Italy then settling in Belgium, where he learned to speak Flemish fluently. He then attended the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium where he received his medical training in Flemish. Upon graduating from Leuven, Dr. Rogers returned to the United States where he was awarded a Scholarship to pursue a PhD in Exercise Physiology at the University of Maryland. During the pursuit of his PhD at Maryland, he was also awarded a Research Fellowship from the National Institute of Health (NIH), where he focused on the study of blood flow in exercising muscle. Upon completing his PhD at Maryland and Research Fellowship with NIH, Dr. Rogers then returned to Belgium where he completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Free University of Brussels,. Years after establishing a thriving private medical practice in Birmingham, England, Dr. Rogers continued his educational pursuit by attending the University of Leicester, where he researched “Organisational Networking in Sports Medical Services in English Professional Football”. Through this thought provoking analytical research, Dr. Rogers obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA).
In addition to his professional education, Dr. Rogers has also had the distinction of being awarded to the status of “Fellow Member” to the American College of Sports Medicine, the American College of Nutrition, the European College of Sport Science as well as the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine in the UK and Ireland.
Based on Wimpole Street in London, Dr. Rogers is a Full Partner at the London Orthopaedic Clinic on Wimpole Street. He also practices at 108 Harley Street and The Wellington Diagnostic Centre in Golder’s Green. As a former 1st Team Doctor for Chelsea Football Club (2009-2010) and a Senior Consultant in Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine, Dr. Rogers continues to offer unprecedented care to the professional elites’, amateur athletes as well as to the general public.
In his career Dr. Rogers has also serviced other various teams and organizations, which includes past positions as the Clinical Director of the Rapid Musculoskeletal & Sports Medicine Service of Sandwell PCT, Musculoskeletal Consultant to the West Midlands, Manchester and Nottinghamshire Police Forces, Sports Physician to Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Birmingham Bullets (Professional Basketball Team), Medical Advisor to Trinidad & Tobago 2006 World Cup Football Team, in addition to serving as Medical Director and Founder of the Medical & Orthopaedic Sports Therapy (MOST) Clinic.
Dr. Rogers has an outstanding record of achievement and lectures here and abroad. He is also an Appraiser and Examiner for the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK and the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine Ireland
